Academic Programs

The management techniques and practices of the hospitality industry in the United States are viewed as the best in the world. AHA-IHMS' career -focused programs are designed to meet the growing needs of the hospitality industry by placing equal emphasis on attitude (employability traits) and aptitude. Students graduate with AHA-IHMS' world-class Diploma or Associate degree in International Hospitality Management (DIHM) or International Culinary Arts (DICA.) Additionally, certifications can be earned from the two leading American Hotel and Restaurant Associations in the United States: American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA) the National Restaurant Association (NRA).

The aim of both Programs is to offer students, who wish to work at a supervisory level within the industry, a comprehensive hospitality management education. Students will be introduced to all aspects of hospitality services operations, and the wide array of career opportunities available within the industry.

Upon successful completion of the DIHM or DICA Program,
its is expected that graduates will have developed:

necessary for a career in the hospitality industry.
bullet The technical and supervisory management skills and
product knowledge required in their chosen field.
